Aero Bike Fitting

Aerodynamics has long been understood to be one of the key factors in performance in cycling, with your frontal surface area being a large factor in your overall aerodynamics.

In a sport where victory is defined by the smallest margin, aerodynamics can be the difference between getting to the finish line first or second.

Bioracer Aero System

During your aero bike fit, we will use the Bioracer Aero System to measure your frontal area.

Throughout the 2-3 hour session, we trial out numerous position changes by adjusting handlebars, seat height and saddle position. With these changes we are looking to reduce the size of your frontal area, without sacrificing power output or comfort.

This will allow you to ride at the same intensity but with less drag, giving you more speed and better times on the race course.

Crunch the numbers

To put the importance of aerodynamics into numbers:

Reducing the size your frontal area by 0.05m² for 10 seconds during a 40km race (at 40km/h), will make you go 1 second faster.

These numbers are easily achievable during the aero fitting process and will result in you taking big chunks off your times during racing.
